The far left Communist State of Illinois is pushing hard to overreach on the First and Second Amendments Americans are entitled to in one bill. A Democrat lawmaker proposed a bill that would allow police to search your social media accounts if you are buying a gun.

Illinois Democrat Rep. Daniel Didech (D-Buffalo Grove) proposed the bill for the police to search social media accounts if a individual is buying a gun. Didech claims, “This is something my community is demanding action on.”

Didech continued claiming, “A lot of people who are having mental health issues will often post on their social media pages that they’re about to hurt themselves or others. We need to give those people the help they need.”

The proposal is such an outrageous government overreach that even the ACLU doesn’t agree with the idea. Rebecca Glenberg with ACLU Illinois released a statement of opposition to the bill, “A person’s political beliefs, a person’s religious beliefs, things that should not play a part in whether someone gets a FOID card.”
