Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is calling the Democrats bluff and bringing the Green New Deal to a vote on the Senate floor.
McConnell announced to the press, “I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal. And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.”
The plan to bring the Green New Deal to a vote is a brilliant plan. Many Democrat Senators are running for President in 2020 and have endorsed the Green New Deal. Bringing the plan to a vote will allow these Democrats to put their money where their mouth is and sign their name on to pass a policy that would destroy our economy. If Democrats don’t sign on to pass it then they wont be able to champion it in their platform, which will harm their radical left base.
