Bernie Sanders intends to delve deeper into the furthest left of Socialism that he can, which we know by his newly hired speechwriter David Sirota. Bernie’s new speechwriter is a extreme and open supporter of the Venezuelan style of Socialism and his past writings prove this.
Sirota wrote a piece for Sloan magazine back in 2013 remembering Venezuealan Dictator Hugo Chavez calling his reign as an “economic miracle.” During the essay Sirota claimed Hugo Chavez’s “brand of socialism achieved real economic gains.”
Sirota wrote, “Chavez racked up an economic record that a legacy-obsessed American president could only dream of achieving.” Sirota argued that the Venezuelan socialism “suddenly looks like a threat to the corporate capitalism, especially when said country has valuable oil resources that global powerhouses like the United States rely on.”
In 2019 Venezuelan people are starving in the streets with no hope of food or water. The citizens are eating out of the back of garbage trucks and drinking black water in order to survive.
Bernie Sanders is not looking to be like the Nordic countries, but is attempting to redirect people’s attention away from the Venezuelan Socialism he truly desires.
