The New York Times reported that, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) filed an emergency rule on Friday that allows for business owners to be charged with a Class A misdemeanor for violating the state’s coronavirus stay-at-home order, This comes from the Governor that let his family go to Florida in the middle of the shutdown, and told the citizens of Illinois, it was none of their business what his family does.
Pritzker maybe you should read this study from, Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine at Stanford University, said people are “mistaken” if they think coronavirus lockdown policies are a solution that proves safety from COVID-19, PJ Media reported.
“I think in the back of people’s heads there is this idea that somehow we can eradicate this disease if we just stay locked down,” Bhattacharya continued, during an interview with Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution. “That is not possible. The serologic evidence, even in the MLB study, suggest this. It suggests the epidemic is too widespread to eradicate.”
In Bhattacharya’s estimation, the lockdowns have not moved the population toward evacuation of the virus, but rather delayed the spread. As a result, whenever lockdown restrictions are lifted, the virus will assuredly spread again. Meanwhile, there will have been serious harms — for public health and world economies — caused by the lockdowns. So just maybe, just maybe Pritzker you should care more about your citizens, then yourself. I think you should be arrested for Tyranny !
Owners of businesses such as restaurants, bars, barbershops, salons, and gyms could now face a fine up to $2,500 and up to one year in jail for operating in defiance of shutdown orders implemented in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. This comes from the Governor that released more than 3,000 prisoners because of the Coronavirus. Yet wants to put Innocent citizens in jail that need to feed their children and pay their bills. Oh yeah your Governor cares about you.
He does not want to open Illinois, he wants to see it fail. Cry-baby Pritzker is begging President Trump to bail-out Illinois post Coronavirus. Trump refuses to give bail-out post coronavirus. Do You think Pritzker is trying his hand at Tyranny! I hope people are paying attention and vote Republican next time. We need these Tyranny Governors out of office.
A spokesperson for Pritzker’s office told the Times that the measure was an “additional enforcement tool for businesses that refuse to comply with the most critical aspects of the stay-at-home order” and that “only businesses that pose a serious risk to public health and refuse to comply with health regulations would be issued a citation.”
Jordan Abudayyeh spokeswoman said, “The rule gives law enforcement a tool that may be more appropriate and less severe than closing the business altogether,” Illinois has seen 94,191 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 4,177 deaths associated to the disease as of Sunday statistics provided by state health officials.
Illinois Republican state Sen. Dan McConchie issued a statement criticizing Pritzker’s emergency rules change.
“The new emergency rule [from Pritzker] that makes it a crime to violate his executive orders is an affront to the separation of powers,” McConchie wrote on Twitter. “Legislatures make laws. Governors enforce them. Period.”
If it is not extended the Illinois stay-at-home order is set to expire at the end of May.
After a Texas hairstylist was sentenced to jail for operating her salon in violation of a judge’s temporary restraining order, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott responded to the outrage by retroactively revising his executive order to remove the jail time penalty.
Another governor whose state is still under strict lockdown measures, California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom befittingly described the pain the lockdowns are putting on Americans.
Newsom told CNN on Sunday, “I deeply understand the stress and anxiety that people have, that entire dreams have been torn asunder because of the shutdowns, their savings account depleted and their credit rating destroyed.”
