President Donald Trump left Thursday to visit the ford plant in Michigan, before boarding Marine One he stopped to speak with reporters. President Trump told reporters he is pressuring states to reopen churches, He also added that the Republicans are working on another relief bill to ease the effects of the pandemic.
President Trump said, “One of the other things I want to do is get the churches open. The churches are not being treated with respect by a lot of the Democrat governors.”
“I want to get our churches open, and we’re going to be taking a very strong position on that very soon,” continued President Trump.
I met with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to work out the details in the fifth Coronavirus relief bill, said President Trump.
“We just had a meeting with Mitch McConnell and the group and we’re working on a package of very positive things,” President Trump said.
There have been many protests from the churches opening up midst the Coronavirus lockdown, as the orders tend to infringe on the free exercise of religion.
